Solco Solar Products The Solco Solar Products business unit manages our wholesale distribution of renewable energy kits and products. Solco Solar Pumping The Solco Solar Pumping business unit manages Solco's water pumping activities through the Sun Mill™ brand. We have Australia's widest range of solar submersible and above-ground transfer pumps to suit individual requirements and water supply situations. Solco Projects tackles water and power supply both domestically and in developing countries, often in conjunction with international aid and UN agencies. Solco Power Solco Power is Solco's manufacturing arm. Solco Industries produces complete turnkey systems for producing polymer hot water systems. This product is known as the Solco Manufacturing System - or SMS Solco History Solco began its life in 1989 as Solar Energy Systems. Solar Energy Systems' broad range of products quickly drove the fledgling company's turnover into the million-dollar range. Solar Energy Systems listed on the Australian Stock Exchange in December 2000. Its distribution network grew quickly during this time, and in 2004 Solco Industries was acquired. Solco Industries produced innovative solar hot water systems that were entirely polymer-based, promising increased lifespan and reduced maintenance for roof-mounted hot water systems. Trading on the value in global licensing under the Solco name, Solar Energy Systems changed its name to Solco Ltd. at this time. In March 2005 Solco purchased Choice Electric Pty Ltd, one of Australia's largest, oldest and most respected distributors of solar power systems and components. In 2008, Solco undertook a reorganisation of its internal business units in order to leverage the benefits of unified supply and distribution. These changes have included: Offering the Sun Mill™ range of pumping solutions through our Solco Solar Pumping business. Promoting grid connected solar power systems under the GridPower™ brand and selling them through our Solco Choice Electric business. Ceasing the direct production of the Genius™ solar hot water system - instead making it available for manufacture under license (Solco Manufacturing System - SMS). Expanding our project activities in Australia and internationally through our Solco Major Projects business. |
